Hello I finally got back into my Hotmail account all you can call it Microsoft outlook and it gave me an option to remove an e-mail I don't use very often only for backup for emergencies to get back in to my main one and it gave me the option to remove a very old phone number what I want you to get rid of because I don't have any more I want you to put in my current phone number and I clicked on the phone number because I couldn't remove the e-mail it seems like a good idea at the time and then when I got into Hotmail and I got into the options of doing my other current e-mail so I can always get back into this but the phone number part was totally removed and I took a screenshot to prove it I looked on YouTube to show me where to go if I wanted to update my telephone number and the part was not there please could you help so I can add my current phone number so if there's any problems I can just get the code from my phone instead of looking through my emails thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately, Microsoft has recently phased out the option to add a phone number to a Microsoft account, as stated in this article, particularly under "Notes": https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/manage/microsoft-account-security-info-verification-codes

However, you can add other verification methods, such as a recovery email address, a passkey, and Microsoft Authenticator on account.microsoft.com > Security > Manage how I Sign in > Then click on "Add another way to sign in to your account"
