You can update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Microsoft Credentials support https://aka.ms/credentials-support

For Microsoft Certification and Pearson VUE, the legal name must exactly match the government-issued ID used for the exam.

To update it:

1. Open the Microsoft Learn profile settings: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings
2. Update the Legal name field.
3. If only one name is used, enter an underscore _ in the last-name field when required.
4. If an exam is already booked and a message appears saying support is required, submit a request through Credentials Support: https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials/support/help#how-to-submit-a-support-request

Relevant notes:

• Pearson VUE checks the name against the Microsoft Certification profile.
• The name on the certification profile must exactly match the ID.
• If the name was entered incorrectly during booking, changes may take up to 72 hours to reflect across systems.
