How do I discontinue my Business Account?

How do I discontinue my Business Account? I bought this subscription yesterday as AI told me this is what I needed got it all setup and it wasn't what I needed. AT ALL. Now I have fixed the problem using my personal account, don't need this business account and want to delete it. HOW?

I hope you’re having a good day. 

If you purchased the Microsoft 365 Business subscription yesterday and have determined that you don't need it, you can usually cancel it yourself from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Step 1: Cancel the subscription

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
   • Go to: Billing > Your products
   • Select the Microsoft 365 Business subscription you purchased.
2. Choose Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Step 2: Verify recurring billing is turned off

After cancellation, confirm that recurring billing is disabled so no future renewals occur. If you don't see a cancellation option, look for Turn off recurring billing.

Step 3: If you purchased through a reseller or partner

If the subscription was purchased through a Microsoft partner/reseller (CSP), the cancellation must usually be handled by that partner rather than directly in the Admin Center.

Step 4: If you want to remove the business tenant entirely

Canceling the subscription and deleting the tenant are different actions.

A Microsoft 365 organization (tenant) cannot be deleted while active subscriptions are still attached to it. Before a tenant can be deleted, subscriptions and other dependencies must be removed.

If you run into any errors, cannot access the Admin Center, or the cancellation option is unavailable, contact Microsoft Business Support and explain that:

• The subscription was purchased very recently.
• You no longer need the business tenant.
• You want to cancel the subscription and prevent future charges.
