MS Word is now terrible - full of bugs that never used to be there.

MS Word is becoming unusable. Office 365 updates add new bugs without any notice. It used to be stable, now it is rubbish. Some recent behaviours.

  1. Trying to update a header. I start typing and the document moves to a completely different page. Then it moves rapidly to other pages, seemingly at random.
  2. Tables can now have mixed fonts sometimes on the same line or even in the same word. You cannot select all the text in the table and reset it to a style or a different font. You must delete the table and create a new one.
  3. Word is creating huge files
  4. Word is moving images on the page without my input.
  5. Cut-n-paste text does not retain the original font. It sometimes pastes as a different font.
  6. The program is highlighting gramma even though I have gramma checking turned off. The rules is is applying are wrong almost all of the time, so it is very annoying. For example take the sentence "Press the CONTINUE switch for a third time, to add the start block." The grammar checker wants to remove the word to. This would make the sentence read, "Press the CONTINUE switch for a third time, add the start block." which makes no sense. If the gramma check is useless at least turn it off when do not have it enabled in the 'spelling and gramma' option.
