Hello,

I activated my free trial of Entra ID P2 license using an account in the Default Directory that has the Administrator role.

During the process:

I added a new payment method and was given the Billing Administrator role.

₹2 was deducted from my card as authentication.

However, the “Try now” button was disabled, so I couldn’t complete activation. and even still try now button disabled.

Then the purchase process completed successfully or not

Problem:Screenshot 2026-08-21 123039

I cannot see the license in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center → Licenses.

It also does not appear under Billing → Your products.

In the Azure portal → Licenses, it also does not show.

  • Instead, I only see the “Try and Buy” option.

My questions:

Does it take time for the license to replicate across portals? If yes, how long does it usually take?

If the license never appears, what steps should I take to resolve this issue?

    Hi @Hitesh raut

Thank you for providing the detailed information and screenshot.

Based on the screenshot, it appears that the Microsoft Entra ID P2 trial order was not completed successfully. The Try now button is still disabled, which means the order likely was not submitted. If the order had been completed, you would normally receive an order confirmation, and the subscription would appear under Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Your products.

    Please follow the following steps:

-Verify that the correct directory is selected: In the Microsoft Entra admin center, select the directory switcher and confirm that you are signed in to the same Default Directory where the trial should be activated.

-Check the account and billing roles: Confirm the exact role assigned to the account. A general “Administrator” role might not be sufficient. For a Microsoft Customer Agreement billing account, the account may need to be a Billing account owner or contributor, or a Billing profile owner or contributor. For a Microsoft Online Subscription Agreement billing account, the account must be at least a Billing Administrator.

    -Review the billing profile:

Go to: Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Billing accounts. Check whether:

    +A billing account exists.

+A billing profile is attached to the account.

    +The billing address is complete.

+The country or region is correct.

+All mandatory tax or identity-verification fields are completed.

+The newly added payment method is associated with the relevant billing profile.

-Check for required terms or agreements: Return to the checkout page and check whether there is a required agreement, consent option, or acknowledgment that must be selected. Also scroll through the entire checkout page and review any validation messages near the billing address or payment method.

-Try a clean browser session: Sign out from all Microsoft accounts, then open a private or incognito browser window. Sign in using only the work or school account belonging to the target tenant.

-Do not repeatedly submit the trial request: Repeated attempts with different accounts or directories can cause the trial to be associated with the wrong tenant or trigger eligibility and verification checks. Use the same work or school account and confirm the tenant ID before trying again.

-Does license replication take time? After a trial order is successfully submitted, provisioning can take some time, and it is reasonable to allow several hours, or up to 24 hours, for the subscription and licenses to become visible across the Microsoft 365 and Entra portals. However, replication does not appear to be the primary issue in this case. Because the Try now button never became enabled and the product is absent from Billing > Your products, the order was likely never submitted. Waiting alone would therefore probably not resolve the issue.

Please also check whether self-service trial sign-ups are disabled for Microsoft Entra ID in your tenant. The “Allow trial sign ups” guidance applies when an organization-level self-service purchase or trial policy prevents users from starting a trial. However, because the checkout page is already displayed and the Try now button is disabled, the billing profile, billing permissions, required checkout information, and trial eligibility should also be verified.

    Ref: Allow trial sign ups

    I hope this helps.
