convert to 2024 from 365

I already have office 365 on my laptop. I just purchased office 2024, how do I convert my computer from 365 to 2024

You don’t convert Microsoft 365 into Office 2024. You need to uninstall Microsoft 365 first, then install Office 2024.

Just a quick note: Uninstalling Microsoft 365 from the laptop does not cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription. If you no longer want the subscription, you will need to cancel it separately under your Microsoft account: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Are you able to see your Microsoft Office 2024 under the Services & subscriptions page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services (make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you used to activate Office)?

If you can see it there, please follow these steps below.

Before installing, it’s a good idea to uninstall all existing versions of Office to avoid conflicts.

Here’s how:

• Open the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
• Look for any version of Microsoft Office or Office apps, right-click, then choose Uninstall. Please uninstall all Office apps.
• Once that’s done, restart your computer just to be safe.

Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

• Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services again.
• Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your license.
• Find your Microsoft Office 2024 and click the "Install".
• That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

You aren't able to convert. You'll need to uninstall Microsoft 365, restart the computer, and then install Office 2024.
