To mark a PC as trusted for a Microsoft account, there is no separate “verification privacy key” to find. The device is trusted by completing identity verification and selecting the trust option on that device.

    Steps:

    1. On the PC to trust, sign in to the Microsoft account.
    2. Go to the Security settings page.
    3. Verify identity using a code sent by email, text, or an authenticator app.
    4. Select Don’t ask me again on this device.
    5. Select Verify.

After that, the PC is treated as a trusted device and security codes should not be required each time for sensitive account actions.

If the request is actually for a sign-in verification method, a new method can be added from the Microsoft account Security tab:

    1. Sign in to Security.
    2. Select Manage how I sign in.
    3. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify.
    4. Choose a method such as recovery email, Microsoft Authenticator, or passkey.

If a verification code is not arriving, use a method that is known to work, or choose I don't have any of these to replace security info.
