I have an old MS subscription that is taking 89.99 from my bank account annually. I don't have the log in details. How do I cancel it?

This forum is just a user to user forum, for account security and to protect users, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find the subscription.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, if you are unable to access the associated account, the best option is to contact your bank and cancel the direct debit for the subscription.

If you are still unable to resolve the problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

If the sign-in details are unavailable, use this order:

    1. Check whether the subscription is tied to another Microsoft account.
      • Go to Services & subscriptions.
      • Sign in with any Microsoft personal accounts that may have been used.
      • If the subscription appears there, select Manage > Cancel.
      • If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire and no further cancellation is needed.
    2. Check whether the subscription was bought from Microsoft or a third party.
      • If it was purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Best Buy, or another retailer, cancellation must be done with that provider directly.
      • Microsoft cannot cancel, refund, or modify billing for third-party subscriptions.
    3. Investigate the charge if the account is unknown.
      • Use the Manage your payments page to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft and identify which account the charge belongs to.
    4. If the account still cannot be accessed, contact Microsoft Support.
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, then Contact Support.
      • Account verification will be required before support can make billing changes.
    5. If the subscription cannot be identified or recovered, ask the bank or card issuer to block the recurring charge.
      • This is the practical fallback when the account credentials are unavailable.

    Also note:

    • If a charge appears after cancellation, cancellation must be completed more than 2 days before the billing date.
    • If there is an overdue balance on the subscription, cancellation is blocked until the amount due is paid.
