Why does the OneDrive EmbedView show a blank/white screen?

The EmbedView’s RequireJS configuration references odsp.react.lib-f74dfea2, but the CDN returns 404, causing the required ODSP dependency to fail and preventing the application from initializing. The issue reproduces in Chrome Incognito, ruling out browser cache/Service Worker issues. The response uses odsp-web-prod_2026-07-31.002 with MigrationState: 1 and OriginalMode: EmbedView.

    Hello Shiwam Singh

Thank you for documenting the issue so thoroughly.

The console evidence indicates that the OneDrive EmbedView is trying to load a required Microsoft-hosted JavaScript dependency, but the CDN returns a 404 error. Because that dependency does not load, the viewer cannot initialize and only displays a blank screen.

You have also reproduced the problem in Chrome Incognito, so repeating cache-clearing or browser-reset steps is unlikely to help.

For now, the practical workaround is to open the document directly in OneDrive or Excel for the web or download it where appropriate.

I recommend contacting Microsoft Support and providing the failed resource name, build information, EmbedView mode, and a HAR capture so the issue can be escalated to the responsible service team:

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. 1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

I understand this is disruptive, especially when the embedded viewer is part of an existing workflow, and I hope the service team can address the missing dependency promptly.

I hope you can get the support you need, have a nice day.
