You can update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Microsoft Credentials support https://aka.ms/credentials-support

If the exam name does not match the government ID, update the legal name on the Microsoft Learn profile.

1. Sign in to the Learn profile settings: settings
2. Go to the Legal Name section.
3. Update the name so it matches the government-issued ID exactly.
4. If the page shows a message that the legal name change requires further review, submit a ticket with Credentials Support.

If an exam is already scheduled, name changes may be blocked until reviewed by support. In that case, use the Credentials Support process.

If the issue is with the Microsoft account display name instead of the certification legal name, use Edit name here: Edit name. Note that display name changes can take up to 24 hours to update everywhere.
