Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Please try each option one at a time, then see if Windows will boot to a stable system.

    1

If there is an option to uninstall the latest update, that may be the best option.

    2

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair

See if Windows startup can repair itself

    3

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to

    1. Force Windows into the Recovery Environment:
      • Turn the PC on.
      • As soon as Windows starts loading, press and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds to force it off.
      • Repeat this twice.
      • On the third start, Windows should enter the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
    2. In WinRE, try these options one at a time:
      • Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair
      • System Restore if a restore point exists
      • If available, Uninstall latest update
    3. If WinRE on the PC does not work, use Windows installation media from another working PC:
      • Create a bootable USB drive.
      • Boot the problem PC from that USB.
      • Select Repair your computer instead of installing Windows.
      • Then try Startup Repair and System Restore again from that recovery environment.
    4. If the PC reaches the sign-in screen and the issue is only the password:
      • For a local account, select the arrow next to the password box, then OK > Reset password, and answer the security questions.
      • Microsoft support cannot retrieve or bypass a forgotten password.
    5. If none of the recovery options work:
      • Use installation media to reinstall Windows.
      • This is more disruptive than repair options, so try Startup Repair and System Restore first.
