Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Steve
Without knowing the context/specifics, I am just going to share some typical scenarios; please feel free to correct me if that's not the case for you.
Any chance your Microsoft 365 was signed up outside of the US initially? If so, because such a product is country restricted, you won't be able to use a US payment method to pay for it. You would need to let the current one expired, and then update your profile country to match your credit card's billing address country, then sign up for the same subscription again.
Or, was it originally signed up in the US, but you have moved to a different country, and now your profile is under a different country? Similarily, you cannot use a credit card whose billing address country doesn't match the profile country.
Let me know what scenario you have, and I can help you further, or help determine if you need to go to billing support.
