    Hii,

    What is your printer model?

If it is already set up on your PC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Hardware/Printer/install-and-use-a-scanner-in-windows

You can use the Windows app: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfj3pv?hl=pt-BR&gl=BR

    or

Do the following: go to the Start menu > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Click on the printer/scanner > click on the "Scan settings" tab > "More scan and printer settings" > select the Printer > right-click and select "Start scan".

Try scanning and see if it works using the top feeder.

Let me know if it worked or not.

    Thanks

What is the make and model of your printer? Did it come with a disk for adding additional features such as scanning?

This image is from my computer for the printer to scan. I installed this from the disk that came with the printer.

If printing works but scanning does not, the most likely causes are the scanner portion not being detected, a scanner driver problem, or the Windows scanning service needing a reset.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Remove and re-add the device
      • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Select the printer/scanner and remove it.
      • Add it again with Add a printer or scanner.
      • This can re-register the scanner portion of the device.
    2. Restart the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service
      • This service is used for scanner detection.
      • Open Services.
      • Find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).
      • Stop and restart the service, then test scanning again.
    3. Reinstall the printer/scanner driver
      • If Windows cannot use a suitable driver, install the latest compatible driver from the printer manufacturer.
      • Match the driver to the installed Windows version and system type.
      • Restart the PC after installation.
    4. Remove and reinstall the printer after driver issues
      • Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Remove the device.
      • Restart the PC.
      • Add the printer/scanner again so Windows can install the recommended driver.
    5. If the device is USB-connected, disconnect and reconnect it
      • In some Windows 11 cases, removing the multifunction printer, unplugging the USB cable, and reconnecting it can temporarily restore scanner detection.
    6. Restart both the printer and the PC
      • Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds.
      • Restart the PC.
      • Turn the printer back on and test scanning again.
    7. If copy also fails on the device itself
      • That points more to a hardware problem in the scanner unit than a Windows issue.
