I had an automatic yearly payment for Microsoft 360. Then my computer got hacked. I purchased a new computer and thought I would be required to purchased Microsoft 360 for the new computer. I have stopped the automatic payment but need a refund on one of the 360 download purchases.

    Hi,

If you have already canceled one of the subscriptions, please note that it can take 3–5 business days for the refund to be processed and appear on your account.

If you do not receive the refund after 5 business days, since this is a user-to-user forum, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly so they can check this for you.

    Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent or request a call back.

To request a refund for the extra Microsoft 365 purchase:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions with the Microsoft account used for each purchase: Sign in
    2. Find the subscription that was purchased by mistake.
    3. Select Manage.
    4. Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
    5. Follow the cancellation steps. During cancellation, refund eligibility is determined automatically.

    Important details:

    • Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if cancellation happens within 30 days after payment. This is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
    • If no refund is issued, access to Microsoft 365 usually continues until the end of the current billing period.

To check whether the refund was issued:

    1. Open Order history: Open Order history
    2. Find the product.
    3. Review the refund status shown there.
    4. If the refund was issued but the money has not appeared yet, wait a few days for the bank or payment provider to process it.

If the extra purchase was made through Google Play or the Apple App Store, the refund must be requested from that store instead of Microsoft.
