I have been paying an annual renewal on an MS 365 Office subscription and I cannot figure out what computer it is installed on. I have a member ID but can't figure out how to tie that to any device or MS account I have.

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link, do you find the Microsoft 365 subscription listed on any of your accounts, or if you click Billing on the left, do you find your subscription payments listed.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If you are still unable to find the Microsoft 365 subscription, this forum is just a user to user forum, for account security and to protect users, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find that subscription payment.

If you are still unable to resolve that subscription payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

A Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the account, not to a specific computer. The key step is to identify which Microsoft account is associated with the subscription.

    Try this:

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Check whether the Microsoft 365 subscription appears there.
      • If it appears, that is the account tied to the subscription.
    2. If it does not appear, sign in to microsoft365.com with any other Microsoft account, or work/school account, that might have been used when the subscription was purchased.
      • The account associated with the product is the one that can install, activate, and reinstall Microsoft 365.
    3. If Microsoft 365 is already installed on a PC, open an Office app such as Word or Excel and check File > Account.
      • This shows the account currently signed in to Office and can help identify whether that device is using the subscription.
    4. If the subscription is found, use that same account portal to install or reinstall Microsoft 365 on a device.
    5. If the apps are not already installed and there is no install option after signing in, the account may not be the correct one, or in a work/school setup the organization may manage installation.

A member ID by itself is not described as a way to map the subscription to a device in the available guidance. The supported path is to locate the Microsoft account associated with the subscription, then check that account’s services/subscriptions or the signed-in account inside an Office app.
