Hello ! My issue is I don't remember my secret password to recover my account . I've tried numerous times by filling out the form.

For me to know the information of that time , which I would have been a teen. MSN's primetime . It's impossible for me to give e-mails or provide what I said on those e-mails . I've tried numerous times over the years and would wish to get it back for nostalgia .

So for those reasons , there is no way I can provide the info to recover it . Probably a password that I used often back then .

Thank you

These are user-to-users forums and most of us don't work for Microsoft. We're users like you trying to help each other. No one here has any access to your Microsoft account and so cannot check.

Just because you can fill out the form does not mean the account still exists. Unless you had an active subscription and have continued to pay for that subscription all this time, your old account is long gone and cannot be recovered.

    Hi. I'm Brian.

You must log into a Microsoft account at least once every year to keep it active. If you don't log in for two years or more, Microsoft permanently disables the account and it can never be reopened. When was the last time you logged in?

If the account is a personal Microsoft account and the password is no longer known, the supported paths are limited to these:

    1. Try the Sign-in Helper first: Sign-in Helper.
    2. If the password is forgotten, use Recover your account and enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name tied to the account: Recover your account.
    3. If recovery form attempts have already failed, improve the submission by:
      • completing it from a device previously used with that account
      • completing it from a familiar location such as home or office
      • listing old passwords that may have been used
      • adding as much account-specific detail as possible; wrong guesses do not count against the submission
    4. A working contact email is required for the recovery form. It can be any active email account that can receive the response.
    5. If two-step verification was enabled and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot reset the password or change account details.
    6. If the account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been closed due to inactivity and may no longer be recoverable.

For a very old account where email subjects, contacts, and other historical details are no longer known, there is no alternate manual recovery path in the provided guidance beyond the recovery form and sign-in tools above.
