how do I decline office 365 so I can load the lifetime license for office 2024?

I got the HP that included a lifetime license for Office 2024. I started to go through the updates for a new computer. I didn't select "decline Office 365" initially and when I went back that option was not available. I want to use office 2024 but can't find any way to decline the Office 365 so that it will allow the Office 2024 load.... please help.... Thanks

May I know whether you previously had an Office 365 subscription, or if you subscribed now when opening the Office applications on your new PC?
When you sign in with your Microsoft account on the Services & Subscriptions page, do you see your Office Home 2024 license listed?

Also, please open any Office app, such as Word or Excel, then go to File > Account > Product Information.

Please share a screenshot of the Office edition currently installed on your device, such as Office 365 or Office Home 2024.

Hello, thank you for the screenshot.

It appears that the Office applications aren't installed on your device.

To install Office apps,

Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your Office Home 2024 license.

*You should see the option to install Office apps as shown in the screenshot here.

If you don't see your license there, it means that you haven't redeemed the Office Home 2024 license under your account yet.

So, when you open the Microsoft Store > Library > Included with device section,

Do you have the option to claim the Office Home 2024 product there?

No, my friend was able to decline on their new computer and it popped up for the install.

Sorry, not sure what I added to the last post that flagged it. I have also reached out to the seller to see if they have any options for me to get access to the license key to install the office 2024 that was sold with the new laptop. Thanks

Hi,

What did the seller say when you contacted them?

Usually, if the Office apps are preinstalled on your new laptop, the license is automatically added to your Microsoft account after you complete setup and sign in.

Another option -

You may also be able to claim it through the Microsoft Store, as shown in the previous screenshots I attached. In some cases, the product key may be sent to the email address used during the purchase, or included in separate documentation.

If you still can’t find the license, I recommend contacting the seller or the PC manufacturer and asking them for instructions or the product key needed to redeem the Office 2024 license to your Microsoft account.

Thank you for all your help. I did get a response from the seller, and I am the one that made a mistake. I initially was ordering the one with the lifetime license, but my system glitched and I had to go back in and re-do the order....... when I did, I inadvertently selected a different computer (same look, same price, seller and brand.... so, the one I have wasn't sold with that license. Note to self - confirm the small print.

I do like this one and will reach out to Microsoft to see what they for the Office 2024 (I don't need the bells and whistles for office 365). Thanks again.
