i tried all steps from my side, the issue is not from my side, could be amd or microsoft, i saw https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5839296/ms-edge-constantly-freezing-after-recent-update?page=1#answers & https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3897566/why-does-edge-constantly-freeze-in-windows-11-is-i

i have win 25H2 26200.9278, browser version 152.0.4191.53 (Official build) (64-bit) , and i started to het randomly mini-freeze (~2ms) when i move the cursor in generally, or i visit sites which have videos/effectsm after i installed official amd driver (only driver, not adrenalin software) 32.0.21045.5002

    Hi LEVIN Seitmola

Thank you for the detailed information. Since the mini-freezes began after installing AMD driver 32.0.21045.5002 and seem to occur when rendering animations, video, or even mouse movement, I would focus on the graphics path rather than browser data or cache.

As an additional test, try temporarily disabling Edge hardware acceleration and restart Edge. If the freezes stop, that would help determine whether the issue is related to the AMD driver, hardware acceleration, or an interaction between the driver and the current Edge build.

If possible, it may also be worth testing with an earlier AMD driver version to see whether the behavior changes. That would provide a useful data point when submitting feedback to the Edge team.

Please let us know whether disabling hardware acceleration or rolling back the AMD driver makes any difference.

Given the timing and symptoms, the most relevant self-service checks are Edge graphics handling and an Edge reset.

    1. Turn off hardware acceleration in Edge and test.
      • Open Edge settings.
      • Go to the setting controlled by the enterprise policy named HardwareAccelerationModeEnabled.
      • Disable hardware acceleration, restart Edge, and reproduce the cursor movement and video/effects scenario.
      • This is the closest match to short freezes that appear after a graphics driver change.
    2. Reset Edge settings.
      • Open edge://settings/reset.
      • Select Restore settings to their default values.
      • This preserves bookmarks, history, and saved passwords, but resets pinned tabs, startup page, search engine, and extensions.
    3. Make sure Edge is fully updated.
      • Open Settings and more > Settings > About Microsoft Edge.
      • Apply any available update.
    4. If Edge opens but then stalls, clear cached data.
      • Open Settings and more > History > Open history page > Delete browsing data.
      • Choose All time.
      • Clear Browsing history and Cached images and files.
    5. Collect diagnostics before escalating.
      • Edge version: open edge://settings/help and note the full version.
      • Browser Task Manager: press Shift+Esc, take one screenshot sorted by CPU and one sorted by Memory.
      • Discarded tabs report: open edge://discards and save the output.
    6. If the issue continues, send feedback from Edge.
      • Open Settings and more > Help and feedback > Send feedback.
      • Include the diagnostics above.

There is no context showing a documented Windows 11 25H2 or Edge known issue specifically for brief cursor-related mini-freezes after installing the AMD driver. The supported path is to test Edge hardware acceleration, reset Edge, update Edge, clear cache, and then submit feedback with diagnostics.
