I BOUGHT 1 OFFICE 365 LICENSE AND IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE 25

I purchased last month 1 Office 365 license, I am still on the trial version and in an email I received today it states the following:

The estimated price of this subscription is €128.25 EUR for the 25 licenses you currently have. Prices are subject to change depending on the contract you signed and any updates you make to the subscription.

I don't want to be charged for 25 licenses when I have only asked for one.

How can this be fixed?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Blake,

Thank you for sharing the details of your situation.

The estimated charge appears to be based on a subscription quantity of 25 licenses. Even if only one license is assigned or being used, billing may be based on the total number of licenses configured for the subscription when the trial converts to a paid subscription.

You can try the steps below:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with your admin account.
    2. Go to Billing > Your products.
    3. Select the affected Microsoft 365 subscription.
    4. Review the license quantity, trial expiration date, and recurring billing status.
    5. If the Remove licenses option is available, select it, enter 1 under New quantity in the Total licenses box, and save the change. However, please note that this option may not be available while the subscription is still in the trial period.

If you cannot change the quantity, have already been charged, or need assistance confirming the upcoming charge, please contact the Microsoft Billing Support team before the trial ends. The Billing Support team specializes in subscription charges, license quantities, invoices, and refund-related matters.

    To open a support request:

    • In the Microsoft 365 admin center, select Help & support.
    • User's image
    • Enter a brief description, such as “Confirm or reduce the paid subscription quantity from 25 licenses to 1 before the trial ends.”
    • Follow the prompts and select the option to contact support.
    • User's image
    • You may be offered options for chat or call depending on your region and support availability.

For detailed guidance on how to open a support ticket with Microsoft Support, please refer to: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

If the subscription was purchased through a reseller or another service provider, please contact that provider directly, as the provider manages the subscription and billing.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments below. I will be happy to help.
