I keep receiving the following error message in Outlook.  My Internet Provider, Spectrum, says I need to contact Microsoft. I had this problem in 2024.  My case Number was:  PII

Task “Synchronizing subscribed folders for (email address) reported error (0x800CCC0E): ‘Outlook cannot synchronize subscriber folders for (email address).**  Error:  Cannot connect to the server.  If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP).’  I receive the same message for my other email address:  **email address).

I'm not terribly computer literate. Last time I had this problem, I was able to contact Microsoft support and they logged onto my computer and fixed it and gave me a case number in case I had this problem, which was in 2024. Case No. PII.

This actually appears to be a current Spectrum problem, not something you necessarily need Microsoft to fix. I don't think it is the same as what you had in 2024.

Spectrum has a current known issue affecting Spectrum/Charter email accounts in desktop email programs. On August 23, 2026, a verified Spectrum employee confirmed. See this discussion: https://community.spectrum.net/discussion/179570/odd-problem-accessing-charter-net-email
