Hold down Windows + R keys, type in mmsys.cpl and hit enter. Then go to the Recording tab. Do you see the Microphone? If so, please make sure it is not disable (you can right click to enable it). Also make sure it is set as default device. Then double click on the microphone, go to Levels tab, make sure it is not muted.

Go to Windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone, make sure allow apps access is turned on.

If neither works above, I need to review your hardware information, and find you the manufacturer audio driver to install. In order for me to do that, I need some info from you first.

Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up please.

If Windows shows "No input devices found", the most likely cause is microphone privacy settings or the audio driver not being detected correctly.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check microphone privacy settings
      • Go to Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone in Windows 10.
      • Turn on Allow apps to access your microphone.
      • Turn on Allow desktop apps to access your microphone.
      • If the device is a webcam with a built-in mic, also go to Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure camera access is turned on.
    2. Make sure the microphone is connected correctly
      • If using a headset or external microphone, reconnect it firmly.
      • If it is Bluetooth, make sure it is paired and connected.
      • If the headset has a Mute button, make sure it is not enabled.
    3. Set the microphone as the input device
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under Input, check whether the microphone appears in Choose your input device.
      • If it appears, select it and test by speaking into it under Test your microphone.
    4. Run the Recording Audio troubleshooter
      • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
      • Select Recording Audio and run the troubleshooter.
    5. Reinstall the audio drivers
      • Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click each audio device and select Uninstall device.
      • Check the box to remove the driver if shown, then select Uninstall.
      • Restart the PC.
      • After restart, Windows should reinstall the audio devices automatically.
      • If it does not, open Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      • Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.
    6. Test microphone level if it appears again
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under Input, select the microphone and open Device Properties.
      • On the Levels tab, raise Microphone and Microphone Boost.
      • Speak into the mic and check Test your microphone.

If both the built-in microphone and any external microphone are missing, step 5 is the most important one.
