How do I activate Word?

I have purchased a subscription, downloaded and installed the Office 365 apps I need. However, Word still will not allow me to edit a document. It still says i must "activate" Word.

You need to sign in to Office to activate the apps. See the "macOS" category in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/sign-in-to-microsoft-365 .
