    Hello Michael Gallo,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you cannot access the two accounting email accounts. Could you please clarify exactly what happens when you try to access them? For example, are you unable to sign in, is Outlook not loading the mailboxes, or are you unable to send or receive messages?

If an error appears, please provide the complete error message, error code, and a screenshot with any sensitive information hidden. Please also confirm whether the problem occurs in Outlook on the web, the Outlook desktop application, or both.

There is currently an ongoing Microsoft service incident affecting some users of Exchange Online. The reported symptoms may include problems connecting to Exchange Online, authentication errors, delays or failures when sending or receiving messages, and intermittent mailbox problems.

Your Microsoft 365 IT administrator can review the latest status, affected services, available workarounds, and Microsoft’s progress by opening incident EX1464935 in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Service health - Microsoft 365 admin center.

If the symptoms described in the incident match what you are experiencing, the current service incident may be related.

If your symptoms are different, please share the exact error code, screenshot, and a brief description of what happens when you try to access the accounting mailboxes so I can better understand the situation.

    Kind regards,

If both addresses are Microsoft accounts, first confirm which account is the one that holds the accounting mail:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page at https://account.microsoft.com and try each address.
    2. If a password prompt appears, that address is a Microsoft account.
    3. If the message says the account does not exist, check the spelling and domain carefully.

If the account exists but sign-in fails:

    1. Use the Microsoft account sign-in helper: Sign-in helper.
    2. If the account is blocked or recovery is needed, use the account recovery form: https://account.live.com/acsr.
    3. Submit recovery from a familiar device and location that was previously used with that account.
    4. Recovery is automated. Microsoft support cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.

If the issue is that both addresses show the same email and Microsoft asks “Which account do you want to use?”, that means there may be both a personal account and a work or school account using the same email address. In that case:

    1. Choose the correct account type when signing in.
    2. If needed, rename the personal Microsoft account by changing its primary alias in Manage how you sign in.
    3. Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged.

If access is still blocked after self-service recovery, use Microsoft support through Contact Microsoft Support and select Get Help. Account protection rules still apply, so support cannot bypass account recovery.
