Hello, when i click Join Now to use the subscription invite, i get directed to a page showing the message below...

Sorry, something went wrong.

We’re not sure what happened, but refreshing the page may help, or trying again in a little while.

    Try these steps:

    1. Open the invitation link in a different web browser.
    2. If that fails, open it in an incognito/private browsing window and accept the invitation there.
    3. If the invitation was sent by email, open Outlook in another browser or in a private browsing tab, sign in, and try joining again.
    4. Make sure the invitation is still valid. The invitation link must be accepted within 48 hours of when it was sent.
    5. If the link may have expired or still fails, ask the family organizer to resend the invitation link. If needed, have them send it by SMS or through a social media app instead.

If access was previously working and then stopped, the organizer can try removing the shared access and sharing the subscription again.

    Hi, Charles Sizer

This error usually appears when the invited Microsoft account conflicts with an existing family group or shared subscription, or when the organizer’s subscription cannot accept another member.

Besides the solutions provided by the Q&A Assist, here are some suggestions you can try:

Confirm that you are signing in with the exact personal Microsoft account that received the invitation. A work or school account cannot join a Microsoft 365 Family subscription.

Visit the Microsoft Family page and check whether your account is already listed in another family group. An account can belong to only one family group at a time. If it is, leave that group, then use the invitation again.

Ask the organizer to check the Services and subscriptions page. The Microsoft 365 Family subscription must be active, owned by that account, and have an available sharing slot. A Family subscription can be shared with up to five other people.

If everything is correct but the error remains, contact Microsoft Support. Include the TraceId, the account used, and the date and approximate time the error appeared, since this may require an account-side review.
