Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi William Pekar,
I understand how frustrating it can be when Outlook suddenly asks you to sign in after working normally for such a long time.
Could you confirm which email provider you use, such as Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or another provider? Please share only the part after the “@” symbol, not your full email address. Also, can you still sign in and receive messages directly through your email provider’s website?
If the account works normally on the provider’s website, please try removing and re-adding it in new Outlook:
- Open Settings > Accounts > Your accounts.
- Find the affected account and select Manage > Remove.
- Select Remove from all devices, then add the account again.
Before removing the account, please save any locally stored drafts, contacts, or calendar items you need. If two-step verification is enabled, your provider may also require an app password instead of your regular email password.
Please let us know the exact error displayed after you select Sign in but remember to hide your full email address and any other personal information. While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
