We have installed microsoft on-prem gateway for power bi and for fabrics pipelines to fetch data from sftp server repititevely offline. it ask update availiable daily

    The on-premises data gateway does not auto-install updates. Microsoft releases gateway updates monthly, and Microsoft actively supports only the last six releases.
