Some email messages sent to me are not showing up in my inbox. I can search the sendor, and will locate the emails.

    Hi @Dewey Frady,

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

To help narrow down the cause, could you share a few additional details?

    • Are the missing emails from specific senders, or does it happen with multiple senders?
    • Do the missing emails appear in any other folders such as Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive, Focused/Other Inbox, or a custom folder?
    • If you access your mailbox through Outlook on the web (https://outlook.office.com), do the missing emails appear in the Inbox there?
    • Do you have any Inbox rules, sweep rules, or automatic email processing configured that might be moving messages?
    • Is this issue affecting only Classic Outlook on Windows, or do you see the same behavior on other devices as well?

If possible, please also provide a screenshot of your Inbox view (with any personal information removed).

Thank you again for your time and understanding.  I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response.

If the messages can be found by searching the sender but do not appear in the Inbox in classic Outlook cached mode, they can be stuck in Outlook’s incoming item processing pipeline.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Close Outlook.
    2. Start Outlook with the /cleanips switch:
         Outlook.exe /cleanips

This clears the incoming item processing state so hidden messages can appear in the Inbox.

If that does not fix it, resync the Inbox folder:

    1. Start Outlook.
    2. Right-click Inbox > Properties.
    3. On the General tab, select Clear Offline Items.
    4. Select OK when prompted that data was removed from the Outlook data file (.ost).
    5. Select OK to close Inbox Properties.
    6. Select the Inbox in the Navigation Pane.
    7. Press Shift+F9 to force resynchronization of the Inbox.

If the messages are visible in Outlook on the web or Online mode but not in cached mode, that strongly matches this issue.
