Please note that Microsoft Q&A is a user-to-user forum. We do not have access to accounts or billing systems. Please use the instructions in the following article to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

Note: If you cannot find the charge under your primary Microsoft account, it may be associated with a different Microsoft account. Try to recall any other Microsoft accounts you may have used in the past and check those as well. Also, ask any family members who may have used your payment card in the past, as the charge could be associated with their Microsoft account. You can use the instructions in the article above to help investigate the charge.

Then follow the instructions here to cancel your subscription and request a possible refund:

    https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription.

If it doesn’t work or you need further assistance, for your security and privacy, I recommend contacting Microsoft Billing Support directly, as this request involves personal or sensitive information that should not be shared in a public forum.

    Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent or request a call back.

    Use this checklist:

    1. Sign in to review order history and look for purchases with the same amount that appear close together.
    2. If the charges are not clear from order history, go to Microsoft account Payment options / Manage your payments and select Investigate.
    3. Check for the most common causes of unexpected charges:
      • recurring billing on a Microsoft subscription
      • a family member or someone else known used the card
      • a previously declined charge was retried successfully
      • a pre-order or split order shipped
      • an in-app purchase was made
    4. If it looks like a double charge, compare the last few months of order history and bank statements.
      • If payments appeared close together because an earlier payment failed and was retried later, it can look like a duplicate even when it is not.
      • If only one charge appears in Microsoft order history, another Microsoft account might be using the same card.
    5. For Microsoft 365 business subscriptions, check invoices in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
      • New subscription purchases are invoiced the next day.
      • Recurring billing is invoiced on the same day of the month based on the billing frequency selected.
      • Changes to an existing subscription are also billed the next day.
      • If multiple subscriptions were bought on different days, separate invoices can be generated.
    6. If the charge does not appear on the Microsoft account at all, it can indicate the card was used on another Microsoft account. In that case, open a dispute with the card provider.
    7. If more help is needed, use Microsoft Support and select Get Help, then Contact Support.
