On 9/2/26, I was charged $138.11 on my credit card for Microsoft 365. I would like to please cancel the subscription and if possible receive at least a partial refund.

    Hi, @Kristine Kirby

Since the charge was made on September 2, 2026, start by checking the subscription from the Microsoft account that was billed:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

Find Microsoft 365, select "Manage", then "Cancel subscription" and follow the prompts. Microsoft will automatically show whether the latest renewal is eligible for a refund during the cancellation process. A recent recurring charge may qualify if cancelled within 30 days.

If the subscription was purchased through Apple, Google Play, or another retailer, the cancellation and refund need to be requested through that provider instead.

    To help narrow this down:

    1. Does the Microsoft 365 subscription appear on the Services & subscriptions page?
    2. Does it show a "Cancel subscription" option?
    3. Was the $138.11 charge made directly by Microsoft, or through Apple, Google, Amazon, or another retailer?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

    Dear @Kristine Kirby

If the Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, you can cancel it and check whether you are eligible for a refund.

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account at Services & subscriptions using the account that was charged.
    2. Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel and follow the instructions.
    4. During the cancellation process, Microsoft will automatically show whether the recent charge is eligible for a refund.

Since you were charged on September 2, 2026, it is worth checking the refund eligibility as soon as possible. Microsoft states that, in many cases, a refund may be available if a recurring charge is cancelled within 30 days, subject to the applicable refund rules.

If you purchased the subscription through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another retailer, the cancellation and refund must be handled through that provider instead.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/manage-your-microsoft-365-subscription-purchased-through-a-third-party

    Best regards,
    Bence
