Basic answer if already provided by AI and another user. If issue remains, then I suggest you to repair by reinstall current version. For that, you can follow below instructions from Microsoft:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/install-upgrade/fix-issues-by-reinstalling-the-current-version-of-windows

After this, try to install xbox and use

    Hi IDKWHATTOPUT,

If you’ve tried the previous troubleshooting steps and the Xbox app is still stuck on “Verifying dependencies,” I recommend trying these additional steps:

    1.Clear the Microsoft Store cache:

    • Press Win + R, enter wsreset.exe and press Enter.
    • Wait for Microsoft Store to reopen, then restart your PC.

    2.Repair Windows system files:

    • Open Command Prompt as administrator.
    • Run the following commands one at a time and allow each one to finish:
        DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
        sfc /scannow

    • Restart your PC and try installing the Xbox app again.

3.Test with a new local administrator account:

    • Open Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.
    • Select "Add someone else to this PC", create a local account, and change its account type to Administrator.
    • Sign in to the new account and test the installation. This helps determine whether the problem is specific to your current Windows profile.

    4.Try a clean boot:

    • Press Win + R, enter msconfig and press Enter.
    • On the Services tab, select "Hide all Microsoft services", then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab, select Open Task Manager and disable the enabled startup items.
    • Restart your PC and try the installation again.

*Disclaimer: A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step so that it will help you get back on track.

Kindly also note that Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025. Although it will continue to work, it no longer receives regular feature updates, security updates, or technical support. If your device is eligible, I recommend moving to Windows 11 to remain supported.

Please keep me updated on how it goes.

For Windows 10, this usually points to a Microsoft Store or Gaming Services problem. Work through these in order:

    1. Restart the PC.
      • Go to Start > Power > Restart.
    2. Install Windows updates.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      • Install any available updates, then restart.
    3. Update Microsoft Store apps.
      • Open Microsoft Store.
      • Select Library > Get updates.
      • Let Store updates finish.
    4. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
      • Select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.
    5. Reinstall Gaming Services.
      • Open PowerShell as Administrator.
      • Run:
             get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

      • In the same PowerShell window, run:
             start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

      • Install Gaming Services from the Store page that opens.
      • Then try installing the Xbox app again.
    6. If Gaming Services still fails on Windows 10 with error 0x80073D26 or 0x8007139F, install the Windows update KB5004476.
    7. If needed, use the Windows 10 Gaming Services workaround. Warning: this removes Gaming Services and deletes related registry keys, so it should be done carefully and only from an elevated PowerShell session.
      • Create a PowerShell script containing:
             Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
             Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices" -recurse
             Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet" -recurse

      • Save it as RepairGamingServices.ps1.
      • Right-click the script and select Run as administrator.
      • Restart the PC.
      • Open the Xbox app and install Gaming Services when prompted.
    8. If Microsoft Store apps in general are failing, repair or reset the app if that option is available.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Select the app, then Advanced options.
      • Select Repair.
      • If needed, select Reset.
