I accidentally deleted my cell phone number from my account

Question

I was deleting my old number, which has been disconnected, and somehow I clicked TWICE and it deleted my OTHER number which I definitely want to remain on my account. There is no place on the website under my account details to add a number back in. I am simply not given the choice.

For personal Microsoft accounts, Microsoft now says you can no longer add a phone number as a new security method. This method is being phased out. See official document here.

I am afraid you will have to use the other options offered, such as email, authenticator app and passkey.
