If I register on a website and they provide a PIN number which they send to my Outlook it is never there

I have checked Junk, settings and rules

There is no clue how this is happening

Ebay advised me my account has been hacked/ compromised

It is beyond my control and my access to essential sites ( pension ) are being compromised

    Hi David Twittey,

If PIN, verification code, or password reset emails sent by websites are consistently not arriving in your Outlook.com mailbox, even after checking your Junk Email folder and reviewing your mail rules, the issue may be related to account security settings or message handling within the mailbox. In addition to Inbox rules, please check for any forwarding settings, connected accounts, blocked senders, and recently deleted messages that may be affecting delivery.

Since you mentioned that eBay advised your account may have been compromised, I strongly recommend reviewing your Microsoft account security immediately:

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/security
    2. Review your recent sign-in activity for any unfamiliar access attempts.
    3. Change your account password if you suspect unauthorized access.
    4. Ensure two-step verification is enabled.
    5. Verify that your recovery email addresses and phone numbers are correct.

To help determine whether the issue is specific to verification emails or affects email delivery in general, please also send a few test messages to your Outlook.com address from another email account (for example, Gmail or Yahoo) and confirm whether those messages arrive successfully.

Please let us know the results, and we'll be happy to help you investigate further.
