I've now been on hold for 6 and a half hours and I need to sleep at some point. How do I know if anyone is going to answer? When do I give up?

Could you share what support line you have been trying to call?

    This is highly unusual.

Also what is the problem you are facing? Perhaps we can assist ?

    Hi,

May I ask what issue you’re contacting support about?

Are you using a personal Microsoft account (like Outlook/Hotmail), or is this for Microsoft 365 Business?

Phone support is usually available for Microsoft 365 Business accounts. For personal Microsoft accounts, support is typically handled through live chat online or via the Get Help app rather than a direct hotline number.

In the meantime, I can help you check a few things here.

What exactly do you need help with regarding Microsoft 365? Please describe the issue you are trying to resolve with the representative.
