Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

it has been SLOWER, LESS reliable, and LESS consistent experience for me. it is using double the amount of RAM from my previous app, crashing frequently and even causing other apps to lock up since it has been running. I am VERY disappointed that Microsoft would issue this as a "NEW" version or call it "LITE", it is much worse.

You can't even get it to flash and blink in the taskbar and the window isn't in focus, when someone has sent you a new message. There is no setting that I can see. I've tried it, gone back to old Teams New Teams is bad, very bad.

I agree with the people in this thread that the new UI is utterly horrendous. You used to be able to list any contacts you wanted in the left pane which made it easy to find and see people's statuses or interact with them without having to click a million things. Now you have to click on a group to show your contact lists and there isn't even a status associated with the contact when you do. You have to click on the user to bring up their overview tab by default and, for me, it always shows them as being offline until I click one of the other tabs, i.e. 'Contact' or 'Organization'.

    So far, so brutal.

I just switched to New Teams a few days ago. And I just had my first meeting where I tried to share my screen. It was a Visual Studio window. It almost immediately stopped updating for other attendees. I tried to stop sharing, but only the share dialog showed up when I pressed that button, as if I wasn't already sharing (even though it was apparently still sharing.) I tried leaving the meeting, but for 10 minutes now, the meeting Window has been stuck open, saying "Leaving..." I can close that Window, but when I try to Join again, I get the same "Leaving..." window. Seems I'll need to restart Teams (and then switch back to Classic).

A pop-up appeared at some point, "We've detected a problem. Try again in a few minutes. " -- or similar.

In short: My first experience with screen sharing in New Teams was a disaster.

My observations: New Teams is a lot faster and uses fewer resources. But that's apparently because it doesn't work!

I won't be included to try New Teams again anytime soon.
