Please tell me this is possible by now ;) Server as Network router/firewall and software/hardware WAP's

If possible I'd like to use my server as multiple wifi access points. That are hooking up, by what ever fast means there are (e.g. via ethernet, or some other fast wired mechanism) some antennas (WAP) in different locations.

Then creating virtual Wifi hotspots and connect them to the several WAP's individually.

If not possible then at i'd settle for help with only figuring out how to use the server as a network router/firewall. I have seen the remote access LAN routing and such and while it does enable access it does not enable fined grained management on what subnet is able to connect with what subnet and the likes. THe windows firewall still is only concerned with it self as the host and not the network in a broader sense if I am not mistaken.

Any help would be of great value and enormously appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion however it seems that also that article, just like others I have seen, does not go into detail how to do actual routing and setup firewall rules.

For example only certain IP's from subnet A can communicate with subnet B
Or how to setup a Guests VLAN that only allows access to the internet.
Or a Peripherals VLAN that only allows acces to specific IP's that could be on different subnets.
Or an IoT VLAN that only allows access to specific servers that could be on any subnet but never the internet

If I can figure out how to do that then we are a step closer.
We can then later figure out what is a good way to setup wireless access points that are centrally managed.

I am finding the level of difficulty quite high to get a question answered. For example i'd rather not close this question and start a new one.
