If this is an Azure subscription, a deleted subscription can only be reactivated if it was canceled and the account still allows reactivation.
- Sign in to the Azure portal.
- Go to Subscriptions.
- Select the affected subscription.
- If Reactivate is available, select it.
If the message says the subscription has been deleted and there is an outstanding balance, the balance must be settled first. For past-due Azure subscriptions:
- If a banner appears saying the subscription will be disabled or is disabled because payment wasn’t received, select the banner to go to Settle Balance.
- If the original payment method is no longer available, contact Azure Support to make a one-time payment.
- After the balance is paid, reactivation can take up to 24 hours.
If the subscription was already deleted and charges are still involved, check these areas in Azure portal:
- Cost Management + Billing > Billing accounts > Invoices to confirm which billing account is generating the charge.
- Subscriptions to verify whether the subscription is actually Disabled, Deleted, or still Active/Past due.
- Cost Management + Billing > Switch Directory to check for subscriptions in another directory.
- Marketplace > Manage > Your Marketplace purchases for active Marketplace or SaaS charges.
- Check whether any Reservations or Savings Plans are still active.
If the subscription does not show a Reactivate option, or the original payment method cannot be used, create a billing support request in Azure Support. Billing support is free.
