    Hello,

It seems like you accidentally locked your device using the "Find My Device" feature in Windows. This feature helps protect your device if it gets lost or stolen. When this happens, Windows blocks your sign-in to keep your data safe from strangers.

Because of this, you might see an error message that says:

"An administrator has restricted sign-in. To sign in, make sure your device is connected to the Internet and ask your administrator to sign you in first."

Unfortunately, without resetting your PC to factory defaults, you won't be able to log in to your device again. To do this,

    1. Turn on your Computer.
    2. When you see your PC Manufacturer's logo or the Windows logo, turn off your computer by holding down the power button on your laptop.
    3. Repeat the same process 2-3 times.
    4. Next time, allow your PC to fully boot into the WinRE environment. (Windows Recovery Environment)

    From WinRE,

    • Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything and proceed with Local reinstallation.

    Note -

Running System Recovery will restore your PC to factory defaults and completely wipe all the data on your HDD.

If the device was locked using the Microsoft account device-lock feature, there is no direct unlock path from the Microsoft account portal.

The supported recovery path is to reset the PC or perform a clean installation of Windows.

    1. At the Windows sign-in screen, press and hold Shift.
    2. Select Power > Restart while still holding Shift.
    3. In Windows Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
    4. Follow the reset options shown on the device.

Risk: a clean installation deletes files, apps, and settings. Reset this PC may offer an option to keep personal files, depending on the reset choices available.

After access is restored, sign in to https://account.microsoft.com to manage the device association with the Microsoft account. The Microsoft account devices page is where devices linked to the account can be managed.

If sign-in to the Microsoft account is blocked or unavailable, use the Sign-in helper.
