how do I find my AZURE_TENANT_ID

Question

how in the gui do I find my AZURE_TENANT_ID - i need it to log in via the az login command and I just use the GUI for everything

Use the following procedure:

1. Sign in to the Azure Portal.
2. Search for and select Microsoft Entra ID using the top search bar.
3. Look under the Overview section in the left-hand menu.
4. Copy the alphanumeric value labeled Tenant ID from the basic information section.

Once you copy that value, you can run your login command in your terminal: az login --tenant <YOUR_TENANT_ID>

In the GUI, the easiest ways are:

1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
2. Go to Microsoft Entra ID.
3. On the Overview page, copy the Tenant ID from Basic information.

Or:

1. In the Azure portal, go to Microsoft Entra ID > Properties.
2. Find Tenant ID and copy it.

Another GUI option:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center.
2. Go to Entra ID > Overview > Properties.
3. Copy the Tenant ID.

The value needed for AZURE_TENANT_ID is that Tenant ID GUID.
