My account name and recovery has been changed, and I don't know what to do.

My account name was ******@hotmail.com, but its been changed to *@outlook.com and the recovery has been changed to e1@autosecurebyme.click. I don't have enough information to do the recovery questions as I didn't use it as an email, I used to for all my games. So there are no earlier messages. What do I do?

Your description of the problem indicates most likely your account has been hacked.

I wish I had better news for you, this forum is just a user to user forum, for security purposes, no-one here has any account access, when a Microsoft account is hacked, if the hackers change the associated data like the Email, then that account is usually no longer recoverable, try using the process they provide on this link to recover a hacked account, if this process is not successful, sadly, that account cannot be recovered.

    1. Start with the Sign-in Helper. It is the primary tool for Microsoft account sign-in and hacked-account issues, and it can either guide through self-help steps or offer the chance to talk to an agent.
    2. If the account was hacked, scan the PC for malware before changing any passwords:
      • Open Windows Security
      • Go to Virus and threat protection
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
    3. After the scan, try to change or reset the password:
      • If sign-in still works anywhere, change the password immediately.
      • If sign-in does not work, use Reset your password or Recover your account.
    4. If the normal reset path does not work, use the Microsoft account recovery form. To improve the chance of success:
      • Provide a working email address that can receive Microsoft’s response.
      • Enter as much account history as possible.
      • For gaming-related use, include details from Microsoft services used with the account, such as Skype or Xbox console information if applicable.
      • Old passwords can help.
      • Wrong guesses do not count against the submission, so answer as thoroughly as possible.
      • Microsoft reviews the answers and responds within 24 hours.
    5. If the account was mainly used for games and the original sign-in name is no longer recognized, check where the account is still signed in or where the username may still appear:
      • On Windows 10/11: Start > Settings > Accounts > under Email & app accounts
      • In Office apps: File > Account > Belongs to
      • In Xbox, check the Microsoft email address associated with the gamertag
      • Check other email accounts for Microsoft purchase receipts or subscription messages
    6. If the username is no longer found or recovery still fails, use Contact Support and report that the username or account details stopped working.

    Important limits:

    • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.
    • Microsoft support advocates cannot provide account information without proper validation.
