My notification of onfirmation of orders from Amazon and notification of shipment from them is automatically going to "junk".

I have set both of these email addresses as safe and do not have any email address blocked.

safe senders in mail are not saved

This is an ongoing issue for some users. No direct fix for the inability to save a new entry in the Safe Senders List.

One Workaround is to add the email to your Contacts. See the Answer by "Hornblower409 Sep 5 2026" in

If Amazon messages are still going to Junk after adding the addresses as safe, check these areas in Outlook on the web or Outlook.com:

    1. Open Settings > Mail > Junk email.
    2. Confirm the Amazon sender addresses or domain are listed under Safe senders and domains.
    3. Confirm they are not listed under Blocked senders and domains.
    4. Check whether Treat all email as junk unless it comes from someone in my Safe Senders or Safe Recipients lists, or from senders in my organization is enabled. If it is, only mail from approved senders and recipients is allowed through normally.
    5. If Amazon sends order and shipment messages to a group or alias address, add that destination under Safe Recipients as well.
    6. Make sure the changes are saved.
    7. Check Settings > Mail > Rules and remove any rule that could be moving Amazon mail to Junk.
    8. When an Amazon message appears in Junk, open it and mark it as Not junk.

    Useful behavior to know:

    • Safe sender entries take precedence over a blocked domain match for the same specific address.
    • Changes to safe sender, blocked sender, and safe recipient lists are automatically saved when entered, but other junk email settings require Save.
