Hello @Brian Marvin
Error 0x80073712 means a file Windows Update needs is damaged or missing. It points to Windows component-store corruption rather than an Insider Preview eligibility problem.
Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
Restart the PC, then try Windows Update again. I recommend DISM /RestoreHealth for error 0x80073712.
If DISM fails, please provide its exact error and the current output of winver; the repair source must match the installed Windows build. Since this appears to be a preview build, don’t use a production Windows ISO from a different build as the DISM source.
