    Dear Travor Mahlanze,

If your Microsoft 365 subscription expired on September 18, you can normally reactivate it from the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    Please try these steps below:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using an account with the appropriate billing permissions.
    2. Open Billing > Your products.
    3. Select the expired or disabled Microsoft 365 subscription.
    4. Under Subscription status, select Reactivate or Reactivate subscription.
    5. If prompted, select your existing payment method or add a new payment method, then select Reactivate.

For more reference, please refer to:

If you do not see the Reactivate option, or if you receive an error while attempting these steps, please let me know.

Thank you very much for your valuable time and your cooperation. Looking forward to your response!

If this is a Microsoft 365 for business subscription, reactivation depends on the subscription state and billing account type.

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. Go to Billing > Your products.
    3. Select the expired subscription.
    4. Reactivate it based on billing type:
      • MCA billing account: In Billing settings, under Subscription status, select Reactivate, then select Reactivate again.
      • MOSA billing account: In Subscription and payment settings, under Subscription status, select Reactivate subscription. Then choose an existing payment method or Add payment method, and select Reactivate.

    Required permissions:

    • For MCA, a Billing account owner or contributor or Billing profile owner or contributor is required.
    • For MOSA, at least Billing Administrator is required.

    Important status limits:

    • If the subscription is Expired or Disabled, global or billing admins can reactivate it in the admin center.
    • If the subscription is Deleted, it can’t be reactivated.

If the subscription was canceled, it can be in the Disabled state for up to 60 days, and repurchasing the same product within that period can restore the subscription. After that, it is eventually deleted permanently.

If access problems are affecting services such as SharePoint, also check whether billing was turned off because of a security or compliance review. In that case, use Help & support in the bottom-right of the Microsoft 365 admin center and complete the requested identity or compliance checks.
