I am looking for quick and right procedure to update my legal name in my Microsoft account that should reflect in my Pearson VUE certificate exams.

You can update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

To update the legal name used for Microsoft Certification exams that are delivered through Pearson VUE:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that is tied to the exam registration.
2. Open Settings in the Learn profile.
3. Follow the instructions to update Legal Name.
4. Make sure the legal name exactly matches the government-issued ID that will be presented at the exam.

Important details:

• Legal Name in the Learn profile is the name used for identity verification for Microsoft Certification exams.
• If an exam has already been registered or scheduled, changing the legal name may require Microsoft Credentials Support approval.
• If the settings page shows a message to contact support, submit a ticket with Credentials Support.
• For exam delivery or appointment issues, contact Pearson VUE Support.
• During exam registration, the legal name must match the legal ID, otherwise the exam cannot be taken.

If the goal is only to change the general Microsoft account display name, that is different from the certification Legal Name. The display name can be changed separately, but for Pearson VUE certification exams the Learn profile Legal Name is the critical field.
