    Hello SAMIR ALI KALLOUT,

Thank you for sharing the details.

If you are trying to access Microsoft 365 Education benefits, you may not need to create a separate Microsoft account. Many universities already provide students with a school-managed Microsoft 365 account using their university email address.

The message you received may appear because of Microsoft’s eligibility and security checks, or because your school’s email domain is already managed within the university’s Microsoft 365 environment. Microsoft must verify the academic eligibility of the institution before Microsoft 365 Education subscriptions and academic benefits can be provided: Verify eligibility for Microsoft 365 Education subscriptions | Microsoft Learn

I recommend contacting your school’s IT department or Microsoft 365 administrator. The administrator may control whether students and staff can create accounts through self-service registration or whether accounts and licenses must be created and assigned directly by the school.

Please ask the administrator to confirm:

    • Whether your school email domain is eligible and verified for Microsoft 365 Education.
    • Whether a Microsoft 365 account has already been created for your school email address.
    • Whether self-service registration is allowed.
    • Whether the school needs to assign the appropriate Education license to your account.

If self-service registration has been disabled, you will not be able to create the Education account independently. The school’s IT department will need to create the account or assign the appropriate license for you.

If you are unsure who your IT administrator is, you can refer to this official Microsoft guide for assistance: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps clarify why the school email address may not be accepted.

    Kind regards,

This usually happens for one of these reasons:

    1. The school email domain isn’t recognized as eligible during the Microsoft 365 Education verification process.
    2. The organization doesn’t currently have a Microsoft 365 Education trial subscription.
    3. The school was reviewed and its academic eligibility was declined.

    To resolve it:

    1. Start by confirming that a Microsoft 365 Education trial exists for the organization.
      • In the Microsoft 365 admin center:
        • If using Simplified view, select Subscriptions.
        • If using Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
      • Look for Office 365 A1 for faculty Trial and Office 365 A1 for students Trial.
    2. Check the academic verification status.
      • In the Microsoft 365 admin center home page, find the Billing card.
      • The status will show one of these: approved, pending, declined, or add your domain.
    3. If the verification wizard was closed before entering the school domain, resume the academic verification wizard and complete the domain step.
      • If this was skipped, academic pricing and conversion to a paid or free A1 subscription can’t be completed until verification finishes.
    4. If the status is pending, complete any questionnaire sent during manual review.
      • Manual review can take up to 10 business days.
    5. If the status is declined, the school isn’t currently recognized as a qualified academic institution for Microsoft 365 Education.
      • In that case, questions about the eligibility decision should be taken to Microsoft support.
      • If the organization is not eligible as an academic institution, commercial offers can still be purchased from the Marketplace page in the admin center.
      • If it is a nonprofit, nonprofit subscriptions may be available instead.
    6. If there is no Education trial yet, start one by visiting the Education signup page and using the school email address.

    Also note:

    • A work or school account is different from a personal Microsoft account.
    • Microsoft 365 for Education signup and sign-in use the work or school account assigned by the institution.
