The last 2 updates for Windows 10 0n 22/09/26 caused major issues on my PC. It stopped my sound card working and it completely trashed Google Chrome. I had to do a system restore and the re download Google Chrome with a complete re-install. I have paused updates because I don't want the back on my PC because I do not want to loose functionality. unfortunately I cannot select which updates to accept so after the pause they will be downloaded again. There is obviously a major fault with the 2 update well at least one of them. I don't know which. Can you tell how can I prevent my PC from downloading these faulty updates again?

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you. (I am not an AI.)

There was a known audio issue after installing the update KB5122878. According to Microsoft, the update KB5129236 mitigated it.

As for the Google Chrome issue, that's new. I haven't seen any similar reports. In fact, I use Windows 10 and Google Chrome, and after installing the recent updates, Google Chrome is still working normally.

Could you confirm for me which two updates you suspect caused these problems?

    Looking forward to your reply.

This issue obviously needs more thought than the standard AI response that I am getting here. MICROFOFT there is a problem here that needs to be fixed at your end!

No these answers were unacceptable. I can't pause updates forever unfortunately and I cannot select which updates to install for myself. The updates caused the issue because they are faulty. I removed the updates and rolled the PC back to a nearby System Restore Point. This immediately fixed the issue but I don't wish to have to do this every time my PC downloads these faulty updates. This iS A mICROSOFT PROBLEM BECAUSE IT HAS RELEASED AN UPDATE WHICH HAS SMASHED MY SYSTEM. Once the updates were uninstalled the problems were fixed except for Google Chrome which I had to re-install.

I expect better from Microfoft and I do nopt want my computer to download these faulty updates again.
