Suddenly, games stop to run

Hello, I got issues with games across plattforms (as I own some of them separately on Gog, Steam and Battle-Net). Namely games such as Warhammer: Chaosbane, Grim Dawn and Diablo 2: Resurrected (among many). Some of them simply stopped being able to run past opening screen/picture and freeze.

I would really like to play them again since a few weeks ago I could.

Look into it, please.

I am such a .... I plugged display into integrated card instead of separate one! No wonder it did not work! Works fine now! :D

Don't worry about it! It happens much more often than you think, especially when moving or setting up a PC.

Windows tends to prioritize rendering on whichever graphics device the monitor is physically connected to, which is why the system defaulted to the integrated chip.

If the cable was switched while the system was running, it is a good idea to do a quick restart of the PC. Rebooting ensures the motherboard properly updates its display detection, allows the dedicated graphics driver to take full control, and completely disables the integrated graphics to avoid any potential device conflicts in the background.

Glad to hear the games are working properly again! Best regards.

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please collect your system information using the DxDiag tool and send it for analysis.

    • Open the Start Menu, type DxDiag, and select it from the list of results;

    Share the information via screenshots; I need the information in the "System" and "Display" tabs.

    Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    If you prefer, you can share the information in file form. See the article below under "Share results".
