hi @Steve Greentree It sounds like the issue is related to your Windows Hello PIN, not necessarily your Microsoft 365 subscription itself.
If you renewed your Microsoft 365 subscription but cannot access the application because you are being asked for a PIN, try the following:
- On the Windows sign-in screen, select**"I forgot my PIN"** and follow the prompts to reset it. You'll need to sign in with your Microsoft account and verify your identity. [support.mi...rosoft.com], [learn.microsoft.com]
- If the**"I forgot my PIN"** option is not available, select Sign-in options and try signing in with your Microsoft account password instead. After signing in, you can create a new PIN from Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. [support.mi...rosoft.com], [learn.microsoft.com]
- If you have also forgotten your Microsoft account password, reset it using the Microsoft account recovery process before attempting to reset your PIN. [support.mi...rosoft.com]
Please note that renewing or resubscribing to Microsoft 365 does not normally require changing your Windows PIN. The PIN is a local Windows sign-in credential associated with your account on that device. [learn.microsoft.com], [support.mi...rosoft.com]
If you're still unable to sign in, please let us know:
- Are you using a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account?
- Are you being prompted for a Windows PIN or a Microsoft account verification code?
- What exact error message do you see when attempting to reset the PIN?
