How to delete recurring account when having separate new Microsoft Home 2024 accounts

I have purchased 2 new one time purchase Microsoft Home 2024 accounts for 2 computers since I use only those laptops. I want to cancel my recurring family account since I do not need it. Three questions. How do I cancel the recurring account. Can I be reimbursed for the time I do not need. What supplemental account features might I loose using only the 2024 Home accounts versus the Family account.

Log into your Microsoft account on this link.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

You should find your subscription listed there, click the Manage button beside the subscription.

From there, you can cancel the subscription and also ensure you disable the recurring billing on the subscription.

You may then be entitled to a refund, you can check your eligibility to a refund using the steps on this link.

    Before you cancel the subscription.

You will loose access to the 1TB of OneDrive storage that comes with the subscription, so if you exceed the free 5GB of OneDrive storage that comes with all Microsoft accounts, you need to ensure you have downloaded a safe copy of your files from OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com/) to your PC to ensure against data loss.

You will also loose access to Copilot integration in your Office apps when you end the subscription.

    1. To cancel the recurring Microsoft 365 Family subscription:
      • Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Find the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
      • Select Manage.
      • If recurring billing is still active, select Turn off recurring billing or Cancel subscription.
      • If the page shows Turn on recurring billing, recurring billing is already off and the subscription will expire on the date shown.
    2. If the cancel option is missing, check these common causes:
      • The subscription was bought through a third party such as Amazon, Best Buy, Google Play, or the Apple App Store. In that case, cancellation and refund must be handled through that seller.
      • The wrong Microsoft account is signed in.
      • There is a past-due balance that must be paid first.
    3. Reimbursement for unused time:
      • The available context does not provide a general rule for prorated reimbursement of unused Microsoft 365 Family time.
      • During the cancellation flow, eligibility for a refund may be shown.
      • If more help is needed, use Microsoft support: Contact Microsoft Support.
    4. What may be lost by using only Office Home 2024 one-time purchases instead of Microsoft 365 Family:
      • The supported context only confirms that a one-time purchase is a non-subscription option and that the Microsoft 365 subscription should be allowed to expire before switching the license.
      • The context does not list the feature differences between Office Home 2024 and Microsoft 365 Family, so no supported comparison of supplemental features can be provided here.
    5. Important account note:
      • Separate Microsoft accounts cannot be merged. If multiple accounts exist, the extra subscription must be canceled on the account that is not needed.
