On the evening of September 24, 2026, I was listening to some music on my headphones plugged into my computer. Suddenly, the music stopped playing. I unplugged my headphones and tried to figure out why the sound was not working. I went to my mother to help me resolve this issue. We searched the internet for methods on how to fix it, but none of them seemed to work.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    • Just to confirm: Does the headphone have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?
    • Is there a red circle with an "X" over the speaker icon next to the clock? (When you hover your mouse over it, does it say "No audio output device is installed"?)

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.
