That popup appears because Microsoft wants another way to verify identity and recover the account if access is lost. The supported way to stop it is to add another recovery or sign-in method.

    For a personal Microsoft account:

    1. Sign in to the Advanced security options page.
    2. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify.
    3. Add a recovery method such as another email, phone, or a passkey.
    4. Make sure the recovery methods listed are current.

For a work or school account:

    1. When the prompt appears, select Next and follow the prompts to add another sign-in method.
    2. Or go to the Security info page and select Add sign-in method.

If the popup keeps appearing even though a phone number is already added, a community-provided workaround is to remove that phone number from Security info and add it again.

Known bug. Lots of people are seeing this every time they login.

It is only suppose to ask you once for each account. Like a survey. But someone did a bad job of making the "Has done check" switch persistent.

It seems to be caching the switch in your browser. I can make it happen every time using an Incognito browser session. Some people say clearing your browser cache and cookies makes it "stick" once you do it again.

    Hello,

May I please know whether you see this pop-up every time you sign in to Outlook.com with your Microsoft account?

    rece (1)

    • Select 'Review Recovery Method' on the screen.
    • It will take you to the Additional Security Settings Page of your Microsoft account.
    • Review that all of your recovery methods are active.
    • Go back to the 'Outlook.com' page and select 'Looks good' on the screen that asks whether you were able to update the Security Information.
    • Once updated, restart the web browser and sign in to the Outlook webpage again.

If you are still having issues, see if you are getting the same pop-up in a private browsing Window.

If it doesn't appear, clear your browsing history, cache, and cookies.

Let me know if you still need more help.
